Hello Galena! Features Winter Masterpieces

Hello Galena!, an artist co-op, is featuring 100% locally made Winter Masterpieces now until March 1. Stop in the shop at 121 N. Commerce Street in Galena and marvel at the winter art on display. From original paintings, prints, and cards to cozy handcrafted mittens, scarves, and hats, there are one-of-a-kind treasures waiting to warm each shopper's body and soul.

Winter Masterpieces include the following art and gift items:

• Original art, prints, and cards by charlene buran price, Richard Pearce, Connie Holm, Paul Chase, Ronna Duckwitz, Lavone Jackman, Zelma Clarke, and Jack Berg.
• Photos by Mercedes Govert and John Hundrieser.
• Books by Bonnie Geisert, featuring "Prairie Winter."
• Pottery -- tart burners/candle warmers and lotion dispensers by Joe Pinder.
• Wearable art -- hats, scarves, and vests by Hendrica Regez; felted mittens by Susan Brusch; scarves, and purses by Helen Mayberry.
• Bath and body products by Karen Stockwell and Arlene Ehtessabian.

Galena mugs and handcrafted baskets are filled with artists' lotions, soaps, scarves, and pens. Pick out a spa day basket for a perfect Valentine gift.

Hello, Galena! is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization made up of more than 65 local artists. Their artwork and signature gift items are displayed at 121 N. Commerce Street, Galena, Ill. Artists staff the art-only shop on weekends (Friday - Sunday) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Mondays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The shop is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
