Linda Davis

Jewelry designer Davis thrives on new discoveries and multiple projects. Currently, she is making wire bracelets using a technique called Viking knitting.  Davis coils different color wires to create distinctive pieces.

Davis learned to knit, sew and crochet as a child and has been learning new techniques ever since. She explains, “I am mostly self-taught and enjoy experimenting with different mediums—everything from beads, crystals, wire, stones, yarn and ribbon.”

To understand more about color and proportion, Davis takes painting classes offered by Sandra Principe. Davis’ jewelry designs emerge from new awareness, refined techniques and sometimes from the stones or beads themselves. Hers is a perpetual creative process. Davies shares, “I carry a small notebook with me to jot down ideas or sketch out a design. I like to work on my jewelry every day, but on days I don’t feel inspired, I organize my beads.”
