John Hundrieser

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

European architecture and Southwest landscapes have inspired Hundrieser’s work. Now, he enjoys capturing scenes of northwest Illinois, like the Old Rock House near Galena. Hundrieser handles each step of the creative process. He picks the right subject in the right light, processes the image in Photoshop, and prints the piece up to a 13”x19” size.

Hundrieser realized the joy of photography during his teenage years when he got his first 35mm single reflex lens (SRL) camera. His talent was confirmed by the instructor of his first college photography class. Not only did Hundrieser “pass out of” Photography 101 but also Advanced Photography. “Now, that was encouraging,” explains Hundrieser.
